- Where do you find your inspiration? This varies wildly from personal ideas, to tv commercials, to print media. I often get inspired while being outdoors which always help clear my mind and allow fresh thoughts to come in.
- What is the first thing you would tell people about designing for the web? Most important advice? I tell people to focus on their message, to keep things simple which allows for more dynamic design and a clearer message.
- What is the most common mistake people make in regards to design/navigation? Trying to squeeze too much information on any one page of a site. I've rarely seen people who will scroll thru more than half a dozen paragraphs to learn about their company. Its better to be concise and display the information your trying to convey to your clients with a goal of having them contact you for further information via call-outs, a contact form and an 800 number.
- Why do you love what you do? I really love the creative freedom and the ability to transform a customer's vision into a site that really helps to build their business. Its great to hear back from a customer months later that their new site doing really well bringing in more leads.
- Anything else you want people to know about what you do or how you can help them? I think there are some new web technologies that can really make businesses stand out from the competition. Technologies like flash-encoded video is not only a great way to quickly show what your business does, but it will make your website modern and dynamic.
